Time: 3.40 pm – 5.00 pm

Abstract

Important insights about the Child Care Package are gained through analyses of the trends in use of child care, before and since the introduction of the package, and trends in the provision of care, as seen through information about the child care sector. This paper provides an overview of these trends, through analyses of Department of Education and Training administrative data, which is a key resource for this evaluation. The presentation will explore child care use among different cohorts of children, and for different types of child care. This will be complemented by information about trends in child care services.
